Beginner Ukulele with Joe

Join Joe online with Zoom to learn some old standby tunes and meet some new friends who are learning ukulele! Joe will bring some folk and rock songs, and students are encouraged to bring songs they want to learn and contribute to their repertoire. Things you'll learn: parts of the instrument, names of strings, how to tune, how to read a chord chart, some basic chords and strumming patterns. Prerequisites if any: none! This is a beginners class Materials needed: Ukulele, tuner or tuning app, pencil and paper, chair and camera frame that includes the student and their instrument. Tuesdays 6-7pm 8/11 8/18 8/25 9/1 ONLINE through Zoom Details: - $100 tuition covers all 4 weeks, so it breaks down to $25/class. - You only need to sign up for the first day of classes on the next page to sign up for the entire session. - If you want to pay ahead of time but know you will not able to attend all the classes, you don't have to pay for the ones you will miss - You may pay for the entire session at once or pay by the class - Drop-ins for single sessions are welcome - The rate of $25/class applies for a group lesson of 3+ people, so we need at least 3 people to sign up for it to stay at that rate - Participants must have an instrument- if you need one, contact Molly at firstname.lastname@example.org - Prerequisites- NONE!
