Service Description

Have you ever wondered how the great legends of blues sound so unique? How their bends weren't too long or too short? How every note was conversational and perfectly placed? The guitar licks of BB King are some of the finest examples in blues music and this class will teach you how to find that sound and why these blues lines work so well. We will start off with some theory using the pentatonic and blues scales, and explore how important and prominent these are in the blues. We'll go over the "BB Box" and jam songs together to beef up your blues lead and rhythm skills with some “tricks” so you really know how to utilize your instrument for the blues! Mondays 7:30-8:30 ONLINE with Zoom Dates: 8/10, 8/17, 8/24, 8/31 Details: - $100 tuition covers all 4 weeks, so it breaks down to $25/class. - You only need to sign up for the first day of classes on the next page to register for the entire session. - If you want to pay ahead of time but know you will not able to attend all the classes, you don't have to pay for the ones you will miss - You may pay for the entire session at once or pay by the class - The rate of $25/class applies for a group lesson of 3+ people, so we need at least 3 people to sign up for it to stay at that rate - Drop-ins for a single session are welcome - Participants must bring an instrument- if you need one, contact Molly at makemusicmakers@gmail.com - Prerequisites are being able to play some guitar including being comfortable with several chords, changing chords fairly quickly, and some strumming
