Service Description

Have you ever made a set of drums from pots and pans? How about blowing over a bottle to make a melody or harmony? In these interactive sessions, students will use everyday items to explore rhythm and sound. Ideal for families and individuals alike, this guided lesson and play time will help musicians of all ages and experiences explore the vibrant world of music already around them. What you’ll learn: An appreciation for and the ability to actively participate in the music surrounding you and your community. This includes the ability to listen and play with both a greater understanding of sound and a more expansive capacity for joy inside music as it comes in everyday life. Whether it be finding a backbeat and time signature, picking apart a harmony, or beginning to identify what it is that makes the music you like the music you like, this class has something for everyone! Materials needed: Whatever you feel comfortable hitting around your house! Schedule: Wednesdays 6pm 8/12 8/19 8/26 9/2 Details: - $100 tuition covers all 4weeks, so it breaks down to $25/class. - You only need to sign up for the first day of classes on the next page to sign up for the entire session. - If you want to pay ahead of time but know you will not able to attend all the classes, you don't have to pay for the ones you will miss - You may pay for the entire session at once or pay by the class - Drop-ins for single sessions are welcome - The rate of $25/class applies for a group lesson of 3+ people, so we need at least 3 people to sign up for it to stay at that rate
