Service Description

Rev. Bill Howard is a singer/songwriter for The Judy Chops and host of the weekly live stream ‘Reverend Bill’s Confessional.’ With over 100 songs to his credit, and 20+ years of experience recording, touring, and playing music, Bill will explore songwriting elements and concepts including lyric-writing, chord progressions, genre/ style, and more in a collaborative learning environment that encourages group discussion. Each week Bill will share one of his songs and dissect how the song was written, highlighting various songwriting elements, with an open discussion about student’s songs, inspirations, and ideas, as they relate to each week’s topic. Students will participate in a ‘songwriter’s circle’ exercise to help develop material, with the ultimate goal of having a full song written by the end of the four week session, culminating in an Open Mic style recital the week following the final class.
