This Week's Staff Concert

Thursday May 21st, 5:30-6:30pm

Molly Murphy will be performing with her mother, Lorie Lichtenwalner for their BIRTHDAYS! Come enjoy an hour of family harmony in folk, Americana and country songs.

Since as long as Molly can remember, she has been singing with her mom. Molly joined the Cherub Choir at her church as a four year old, and has fond memories of attending band rehearsals, concerts and choir practice with her mom. The two did a duet of "Somewhere Out There" from An American Tale for a talent show in 1993, which just might make a reprisal. Lorie has been playing music for over 50 years and has raised three musical daughters. This will be a special Mommy-Daughter Birthday Special you won't want to miss. COME HELP US CELEBRATE THEIR BIRTHDAYS!!

A note about COVID-19:
We at QCMS are aware of the potential risks of being exposed to COVID-19 and are taking preventative measures to ensure that we do not contribute to the spread of germs for everyone's health and well-being. In an effort to be proactive, we are being diligent about handwashing, sanitizing commonly used surfaces, and monitoring our own health AND WE'RE MOVING ONLINE UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE!

It is with much forethought that we've decided to close QCMS this week to keep us all safer from transmitting germs. We will offer online lessons but we can not offer in-person lessons for the next few weeks even if folks are feeling well as a safety protocol. As with all school closings, will be following the Staunton City School schedule. We hope you are well and taking care of your health as well as well as the health of those around you. Let's do what we can to keep the music going! We all need music!!

While we are not panicking, we are staying alert and informed as best we can. If you have traveled recently on public transportation such as plane or train, you are urged to exercise a self quarantine for 14 days as recommended by the CDC. We will work with students to reschedule any lessons that are already paid for ahead of time.
